The WTA #7 shares her thoughts on tiebreakers and playing with a lead

Jessica Pegula came on my podcast, AGAIN, to start the 2025 season. We discussed how she strategically plays tiebreakers, what she’s learned from her new coaches, and what she’s done differently with her equipment this offseason.

My favorite part of the episode was our discussion on holding leads. She stressed staying in the moment and realizing that you aren’t supposed to serve out the set every time. Giving up a lead is normal. It happens a lot, even if your process was excellent and you tried your best. It doesn’t mean you’re choking.
